Rogue Marketing in Red Deer turns one after 10 years of digital marketing experience.

On July 19, 2025, I registered Rogue Marketing and started a marketing company in Red Deer to help businesses on my terms for the first time. I brought ten years of digital marketing experience working with small businesses across Central Alberta into that decision, along with a first place page-one SEO ranking I would land within three months of launch. I was four months pregnant when I signed the paperwork, and I told myself I would build this slowly, with time and with love, one small step at a time. Central Alberta had other plans for me.

Where I Was Before Rogue Marketing

Before I could build something new, I had to be honest about where I was standing. I had come dangerously close to walking away from marketing altogether. I had to find my way back to loving this work again, dig up creativity I was not sure I still had, and rebuild a confidence that had been shattered. Anyone who has felt that particular kind of burnout knows what it is to go through the motions of a job you used to love. That was me, a little over a year ago.

So when I decided to start Rogue, it was not just a business decision. It was me deciding to fight for my own creativity and life again, to rebuild my confidence one client win at a time, and to prove to myself I still had something worth offering the business owners in this community.

The Fast Start I Did Not See Coming

I expected a slow build. I thought it was even what I wanted. What I got instead was mere weeks of what I thought would take many months, if not years. The outpouring of love and support from my community changed my timeline completely. Referrals came in. Friends supported me in ways I did not expect. Years of hard work I had put in long before Rogue Marketing existed came to fruition almost immediately, and I could not quite believe it was happening.

One of the proudest technical wins of that first stretch was ranking first on page one of Google for "marketing Red Deer" in just three months. That did not happen by accident. It came from consistent, keyword-optimized content, a properly optimized Google Business Profile, smart internal linking, and staying on top of the technical side of SEO that most business owners never see, the same fundamentals Google's own SEO documentation recommends to do long before anything flashy. This combined with the word of mouth, had Rogue spreading like wildifre!

The Responsibility I Carry

I feel so privileged and so fortunate to help the businesses I get to work with. It is not something I take lightly. My clients help me provide for my family, and I know I make a direct impact on their ability to provide for theirs, and for the employees who depend on them. That has never been a responsibility I take lightly, and I do not think it ever will be.

I have never once felt entitled to the relationships I have built here. I am forever grateful for the trust that has been placed in me. It is why every call gets answered, or at the very least returned the moment I am free from wrangling an infant. It is why every email gets a prompt reply and every question gets taken seriously and answered thoroughly, because marketing should never feel complicated, confusing, or difficult for the people trusting me with it. Meta's own advertising resources will tell you the same thing in different words: clarity and consistency are what actually build trust over time, not one flashy campaign or presentation.

Why I Built Rogue Marketing In Red Deer

I created Rogue to help people, to help their businesses and their values be seen, and to help people succeed, because I only feel successful when I watch it happening for someone else. It is true what they say: do what you love and it will never feel like work. Helping people as Rogue Marketing, and showing them the real power of good marketing, has helped me build the life I have always wanted, and somehow it all happened so quickly.

From The Bottom of My Heart, Thank You

To everyone who helped me find that spark back, and to everyone who has complimented me on this new fire I have for this work: thank you. I will continue doing my best for every person who has entrusted me with being part of their business and their future success.

That responsibility will never, ever be taken for granted.

I am not currently able to take on new clients, but as Rogue keeps growing, that will change, and I'd love to hear from you when it does. In the meantime, if you're a Central Alberta business owner curious about marketing your business in Red Deer the right way, I've been fortunate to get to know a lot of great marketing providers in this city, and I'd be happy to make an introduction to someone who's the right fit for you right now!

I am not sure I'll ever be able to top this year... but here is to year two of being your local Marketing Agency in Red Deer!
