If you're a business owner in Red Deer trying to figure out digital marketing on your own, you already know how it goes. You find a YouTube video, implement half of it, get distracted by the next algorithm update, and somehow end up more confused than when you started. After 10 years in digital marketing here in Central Alberta, I can tell you that most of what's out there is either too generic, too technical, or built for someone in a completely different market than ours. That's exactly why I partnered with Ali Misener from Grace Partners Consulting to build a digital marketing Red Deer workshop that's actually grounded in how this local market works.
On May 29th, we're hosting a full-day, hands-on course at ATB Capstone in Red Deer. It's small by design, runs 9AM to 4PM, and costs $250 per person (lunch included). This is not a seminar where someone talks at you for six hours. You'll be doing real work on your actual business by the time you walk out the door.
What You'll Actually Learn at Red Deer's Digital Marketing Workshop
We built this day around four sessions that build on each other, because throwing a pile of disconnected tactics at someone and calling it education isn't useful to anyone.
Session 1: Brand, Messaging and Content That Connects
Led by Ali, this 60-minute session tackles the thing most businesses skip entirely: knowing what you're actually trying to say and who you're saying it to. You'll define your audience, sharpen your brand voice, and build content pillars that make showing up consistently way less painful. This one is done live, including working through a real business as a room so you can see how the process applies.
Session 2: SEO and Blogging Without the Subscription
This one's mine. Ninety minutes covering how to actually get found on Google without paying for a pile of tools you don't know how to use. We do a live walkthrough using real search queries, build a blog outline together in the room, and you leave with a research process you can repeat for free. This is the session for anyone who has ever stared at a blank Google Search Console wondering what the point is.
If you've worked with Rogue Marketing's SEO services before, this is the behind-the-curtain version of what we do for clients.
Session 3: AI for Social Media That Actually Sounds Like You
AI is genuinely useful for marketing. It's also genuinely bad at sounding human without direction. Ali covers exactly where AI earns its place in your workflow and where handing it the wheel makes your content sound like every other business in your city. You'll leave with four practical prompts you can use the same week.
Session 4: Your 30-Day Plan
Ali and I run this one together. It's where the whole day snaps into place. Not a list of good intentions. An actual, specific plan for the next 30 days.
Who Is This Digital Marketing Course For?
This course is built for business owners and communication coordinators who are managing real marketing for a real business and are done figuring it out by trial and error. If you've been patching together your digital marketing in Red Deer from free resources and hoping for the best, this day was designed for you.
You'll leave with a messaging framework, 10 to 15 content ideas tailored to your audience, a blog outline based on what your customers are searching, four AI prompts ready to use, and a 30-day action plan you can start on Monday.

Why This Workshop Exists
Red Deer businesses deserve better resources than what's currently out there. Most digital marketing education is built for big-city markets or assumes you have a full-time team behind you. The goal here is to give local business owners a genuinely useful day that translates directly to their market, with instructors who have actually worked in it.
